This is Ghost, my new dog.  He was a shelter dog who came into my life through an MCAL (Monroe County Animal League) volunteer.  Ghost is a sweet, fun loving, big, beautiful shepherd.  A little wolfish and a bit like a bear and a great new friend.

Ducky would disappear for a while and then show up again swimming in the pond.  I never saw her fly away or fly back and couldn't figure out where she went.  I didn't realize she was sitting on 13 eggs in a down lined hole in the pond bank.

I would often see Ducky swimming quietly in the pond.  She seemed content.  But, there were also time when I could not find her, for hours or sometimes days.

This is how I first saw Ducky.  She arrived at the pond behind my house late last spring.  Ducky could be seen sitting on the log in this pond early in the mornings.  As the days progressed I saw her more often.  She was a bit shy, but didn't go far if we went outside to work of play.  She became so use to us that she would stay even when I mowed the lawn.
