I saw this chipmunk sitting on a twig a few feet from the ground, unmoving and almost invisible. 

Towhee

This bird is encountered mostly in the underbrush brightly calling its name or busily scratching in the leaves for food.  I saw this particular bird low in a bush.  It wasn't very frightened of me so I was able to get several pictures.  Towhees are among my favorite birds to watch.  The seem so cheerful!
