After trying several times to photograph this bird at the zoo, with no success...the bird was always in motion,  I painted it loosely to express it's motion.

Several years ago a Rhesus escaped from a zoo nearby to enjoy several days of freedom.  I have often wondered if it was this monkey, who sat by the bars of her enclosure looking wistfully outside.

This leopard was snoozing in a Virginia zoo.  This cat and his mate raised several litters in the zoo which is important since the species is endangered in the wild.
