A few weeks ago some chickens (big ones) came to visit.  They wandered into the yard and picked some berries of my bushes and then wandered off back home.  They allowed me to take pictures!

Earlier this spring I saw a bluebird checking out the birdhouse in my yard.  They come every year to raise a family.  What a joy!

I heard the dog barking and looked out the window to see this big bird perched in a pine tree.  Usually herons are seen in the pond and fly at the slightest disturbance.  This bird sat long enough for me to snap several pictures even with all the racket the dog was making!
