A few weeks ago we had a warm spell and I saw this frog skating on the pond ice!!  Couldn't believe it...!!  It was using a swimming stroke to cross the ice!?

Last summer I photographed a traveling carousel at our state fair.  While looking at the photos I realized the horses were copies of some of the famous carousel figures and I decided to paint them.  All the horses on the fair carousel were white so I have enjoyed changing colors and, in this figure, adding a little iridescent paint for panache.

Make a big noise!

While traveling the back roads I came upon this donkey and began taking his picture(you never know when you'll need a donkey).  Being a very obliging creature he walked toward me, brayed, turned and walked away sharing all sides.  Very helpful...thank you donkey

These little animals live around my place.  I see them sitting on rocks or tree stumps and skittering across the leaves.  Soon, I suppose, they will be hibernation for the winter.
